报告题目:Design of Electrical Drive Systems– Materials, Topologies, Drives and
Optimization Methods
内容简介:This seminar presents important aspects of electrical drive system design, including scalar and vectorial characterization of magnetic materials, consideration of electrical machine topologies, drive techniques, and deterministic and robust design optimization methods. Various design concepts, such as application-oriented design and design for manufacturing, will be introduced and discussed.
报告人简介:Jian Guo Zhu (S’93–M’96–SM’03) received the B.E. degree in 1982 from Jiangsu Institute of Technology, Jiangsu, China, the M.E. degree in 1987 from Shanghai University of Technology, Shanghai, China, and the Ph.D. degree in 1995 from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Sydney, Australia, all in electrical engineering.
He was appointed a lecturer at UTS in 1994 and promoted to full professor in 2004 and Distinguished Professor of Electrical Engineering in 2017. At UTS, he has held various leadership positions, including the Head of School for School of Electrical, Mechanical and Mechatronic Systems and Director for CEMPE (Centre of Electrical Machines and Power Electronics). In 2018, he joined the University of Sydney, Australia, as a full professor and the Head of School for School of Electrical and Information Engineering.
His research interests include computational electromagnetics, measurement and modelling of magnetic properties of materials, electrical machines and drives, power electronics, renewable energy systems and smart micro grids. On these topics, he has conducted 60+ research projects sponsored by competitive government grants and industrial companies. Based on their research findings, he and his team have published 2 books, 10 book chapters, 380 (201 since 2014) journal articles, and 584 (127 since 2014) conference papers. His publications have attracted 12,328 (8453 since 2014) total citations with an h-index of 52 (43 since 2014) and i10-index of 312 (219 since 2014), according to Google Scholar on 15 December 2019. Among 380 journal papers, 200+ were published in various IEEE Transactions, and 50+ of them in IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics or IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, two IEEE Transactions of top rankings in the field.
